Fitness International opened its doors in 1988 in one of Boston's premier office buildings, International Place. Since that time, many members with very busy schedules have discovered the benefits of belonging to a Club convenient to work.

Our Club offers a wide variety of cardio options, a combination of Nautilus and Cybex equipment and a complete free weight area. Each new member may take advantage of a complimentary training session with one of our staff of personal trainers.

For added motivation, the Club offers group classes featuring a bright and comfortable aerobics studio with our outstanding instructors! Some of the classes offered are Power Yoga, Pilates, Cycle Classes, Muscle Work and STEP. To view the weekly aerobics class schedule, click on "Schedule" on this page.

Whether you choose to take classes, work out independently or hire a personal trainer, we would like to offer a few suggestions: #1 The first month of your exercise program is crucial to your success. Try to set up a schedule you can live with, even if it is only a couple of times per week. Make a strong commitment to your routine the first month! #2 Try to forsee possible obstacles and plan how you will overcome them. Be flexible with the time you exercise. If the specific time you planned on does not work out, try an alternate time. It may not be ideal but it will be worth it in the end as you find yourself staying with your routine. #3 To compliment your efforts and enhance your results, try to make healthy nutritional choices. Try to limit high fat meals and unhealthy snacks.

Why Exercise?

Regular exercise improves your health in a number of ways. When performed on most days of the week, regular physical activity helps to decrease your risk of developing high blood pressure and diabetes and also decreases risk of stroke, heart disease and certain forms of cancer. Not only does regular exercise help control weight, it also helps build and maintain healthy bones, joints and muscles as well as promote psychological well-being.
